On your Mac only
- Battery readings, per-app energy use, temperatures, fan speeds, disk scans and update lists.
- The battery log behind the Battery Coach (60 days), energy history (30 days) and a daily battery health record (until you delete it).
Delete all of it any time in Tend › Settings › Your data. Tend has no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
What Tend sends to us
- Update checks, which include the app version.
- Beta status checks, which tell Tend whether Pro is still free.
- License checks, if you use Pro: your license key and a device ID. The device ID is a one-way hash of your Mac's hardware identifier; we can't turn it back into the original, but it is linked to your license.
- If you sign in: your email address, your name if you share it, and your Mac's name and model, so you can recognize your Macs on your account page.
- Feedback and crash reports, only if you send them: they open as an email you read first. Diagnostics, if you include them, are Tend's and macOS's versions and your Mac's model.
On the website
tendmac.app has no analytics or advertising cookies. If you sign in to your account on the web, we set a cookie that keeps you signed in (and, while an Apple or Google sign-in is in progress, a second one that expires after 10 minutes). We count things like downloads per day, without recording who did them.
We email you only for things you asked for: sign-in codes, a welcome when you create an account, your license, a reminder before a free trial ends, and one launch email if you joined the founding list (plus a short note if you join again while you're already on it). Joining the list takes a confirmation click, and the launch email has an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing deletes your place on the list. We send email through Brevo.
Who helps us
Cloudflare (hosting and our database), Paddle (checkout, as merchant of record), Brevo (email), Apple and Google (only if you sign in with them), and Google's Gmail (our support inbox). We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.
Your choices
- See or download what we hold, or ask us to correct it: email support@tendmac.app.
- Delete your account yourself on your account page.
- Leave the founding list with the unsubscribe link, or by emailing us.
