Uninstalling Tend

Sorry to see you go. Here's how to remove Tend completely, in a few minutes.

Updated 11 October 2026

Before you start

  • Using Pro? Free this Mac's place on your license first, so you can use it on another Mac. Remove the Mac on your account page, or, if you used a license key, choose Deactivate this Mac in Tend › Settings.
  • Subscribed? Uninstalling doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel in Manage billing, on your account page or in Tend › Settings.
  • Want your history gone too? In Tend › Settings › Your data, choose Delete local history. That removes the battery log, energy history and battery health record in one go.

Remove the app

  1. In Tend › Settings, turn off Open at login.
  2. Click Tend's icon in the menu bar and choose Quit.
  3. In Finder, open Applications and drag Tend to the Trash.
  4. Empty the Trash.

That removes the app. A few small files stay behind in your Library folder; the next section removes those too.

Remove everything Tend stored

In Finder, choose Go › Go to Folder… and paste each path. Move what you find to the Trash.

PathWhat it is
~/Library/Application Support/TendBattery log (60 days), energy history (30 days) and the daily battery health record
~/Library/Preferences/app.tendmac.tend.plistYour settings
~/Library/Caches/app.tendmac.tendTemporary files, including downloaded updates
~/Library/HTTPStorages/app.tendmac.tendNetwork cache

Some of these may not exist on your Mac. That's fine.

Keychain items: if you used Pro or signed in, open Keychain Access, search for app.tend.license and delete the items you find. They hold your license key, license token and sign-in session.

Your account and email

Removing the app doesn't delete your Tend account or unsubscribe you from email.

  • To delete your account, use Delete account on your account page.
  • To leave the founding list, email support@tendmac.app, or use the unsubscribe link in the launch email. Other emails, such as sign-in codes, only come when you ask for them.

We'd love to know why Tend didn't work out for you. A one-line email helps more than you'd think.
